#52marathons52weeks #17 - Greg McQuaid's 27.4 mi run
Wow, that was pretty epic. Toby Silver kindly joined me at 7am at the parking lot at IKEA in Emeryville for a 13 mile run up to Redwood Regional Park in Oakland where I ran the Sasquatch 1/2.
The GPS mileage is probably off (more like 26 miles even) but I'm pretty sure the 4K ft of climbing is about right. As usual after a trail run I feel really good (compared to a road run where I'm a lot more sore.)
The trail run was challenging, often a hike more than a run due to steep uneven terrain and washed out trails from the storms. But it was beautiful and so nice to see so many people out walking with their dogs and lots of friendly faces.
I feel like maybe I have a post-race runner's high!?
